Hi
I’m Kaveh Dehpoyad from Iran.I want to take the TOEFL test. But I’ve gotten disappointed for my low scores in writing section and reading section particular in integrated essay and making inference ( from reading section) please someone tells me what should i do?
Inference questions can definitely be hard. Right here on the Clemmonsdogpark TOEFL Blog, we have several posts that offer practice TOEFL Inference questions with answer explanations, and advice on how to make inferences on the TOEFL. Check out the following posts: TOEFL Reading Question Type– Inference, TOEFL Reading: Synonyms and Inference Questions, TOEFL Reading Practice: New Information and Inferences, Reading Practice: TOEFL Inference Question and Answer, and Reading Practice: TOEFL Inference Question II.
The real trick to getting good at inference questions is strategy— learn how to approach multiple choice questions, and learn the logic behind the correct inference answers on the TOEFL. You can build these skills a good deal just by carefully analyzing your own mistakes, but it also helps to find some practice books and materials with good answer explanations.
As for the Integrated Essay, how you can improve depends on what your weaknesses are in this complex task. Make sure you are as strong as you need to be in listening, reading, and paraphrasing, as those are the three most important skills for TOEFL Writing Task 1
Thanks from the heart 🙂
good! hard though.
